Part 1: Admissions to the 2025/26 school year Junior Infants
Application and decision dates for admissions to 2025/26
The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants 2025/26 school year
| The School will commence accepting applications for admission on | 07/10/2024 |
| The school shall cease accepting applications for admissions on | 28/10/2024 |
| The date in which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is | 18/11/2024 |
| The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of the offer of admission is | 1 week |
Note: applications made after the 21 day period will be processed as late applications, the school will consider and issue a decision on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.

ASD Class Applications and Decisions Dates for admission to the 2025/26 school year
The following are the dates applicable for admission to the school’s ASD classes. Please note the figures set out below in relation to the ASD classes are subject to change dependent on whether current students in these classes retain their place in the school and whether a student (s) transfer into the school after publication of this Notice.
| The school will commence accepting applications for admission on | 13/01/2025 |
| The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on | 03/02/2025 |
| The date in which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is | 17/02/2025 |
| The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of the offer of admission is | 1 Week |
Failure to accept an offer within the prescribe period above may result in the offer being withdrawn.

Part 2: Other Year Groups Application and Decision Dates for admission to Portlaoise Educate Together NS.
The following are the dates applicable for admission to other year groups (Senior Infants to 6th Class)
| The school will commence accepting applications for admission to other year groups on | 07/10/2024 |
| The school shall cease accepting applications for admission to other year groups on | 28/10/2024 |
| The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is | 18/11/2024 |
| The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer for admission is | 1 Week |
Note: Applications made after the 21 day period will be processed as late applications, the school will consider and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.
Failure of an applicant to accept an offer by Monday the 25th of November 2024 may result in the offer being withdrawn.
