Dear School Community, (Children, Parents/Guardians, teachers, staff and all who are parts of the whole that is our wonderful school! )

We’d like to start by thanking all the parents who have supported the school and the work of the Parents Association Committee so far this school year. Without the committed, kind and caring parents, guardians, teachers & school staff who are so consistent with their support, our school would look and feel VERY different. You are VERY much appreciated. To all who have not yet been able to take the opportunity to play your role, we’d like to extend a welcoming invitation to call us, email us, or just turn up at our monthly meetings to offer your support in the easiest possible way for you, without any pressure.

Some examples of things you could help with are

●  Set up / Clean up /Supervision / Security at school events

●  Supermarket fund raising bag pack

●  And all your ideas on enriching our school community are very welcome

So please do consider adding your family’s personal touch to our school!

The Parents Association Committee have been doing a great lot of work this school year.

Some of the work included:

●  Our first Cuisine Night in November, was a great success and thank you to all who attended with your delicious dishes from right around our colourful world.

●  Our Cake Sale was in February and this was a huge success. This event was run at the      school on Friday the 12th and was a huge success.Thank you to all volunteers who helped on the day and all parents who donated cakes. The standard of cakes was amazing – we have some very talented parents out there!!. A total of €1235 was raised making it the most successful Cake Sale to date.

We have some very exciting tricks up our sleeve for the rest of this year! So please add any dates you see below to your personal diary and watch out for confirmation on other dates and times.

Some of the this year’s magic will include;

  • Our next Cuisine Night which will be on Tuesday the 15th of March next from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and will be Irish Themed for St. Patrick’s Day; All families are invited to attend, families are asked to bring (optional) a cuisine from their own culture to share and taste with the school community.  The night is a wonderful opportunity for parents and families to get to know each other. We hope to see you all there. Please note that for security reasons, all children attending this event must be accompanied at all times by an adult over the age of 18. No children will be permitted to leave the school hall (go outside) unsupervised by an adult. Finally we want all the kids to have lots of fun dancing so for safety reasons please ensure your children do not run around the hall.
  • Summer Craft and Food Fair is on the 29th of May 2016 from 12.00noon to 6.00pm. Any Parents/Guardians who would like to volunteer to help out can do so by contacting the PTA through the mail box at Hazel’s office, of by emailing the PTA at

Please stay tuned to the school website, facebook, emails and text messages for more details to follow soon!

There are many other plans in the pipeline that await confirmation so please stay tuned for follow up information.

As you can see it will be a full year with lots of new developments in our rapidly growing and flowering school. Please keep in touch with us with anything relating to the work of the parents association via email at

We very much look forward to the rest of this very adventurous year!

Warm Regards,

The 2015/2016 PETNS Parents Association Committee
