Sheena’s Senior Infants got to celebrate their Pom Pom achievement by baking some delicious cookies!

Christopher’s 5th attended a fantastic workshop in Portlaoise College.

Christopher’s 5th got to show off their WW1 trenches and teach the younger class a thing or two about World War 1. They also read out some of their sad and emotional WW1 poems

As we approach our Winter Break from school CJ’s 1st class have decided to do a food drive to collect and donate some foods to those who need it most. We intend on showing kindness by sharing what we can with others in need.

Their class will be collecting nutritious canned foods and dry foods to be donated to the homeless in our community. Please donate what you can as every donation counts no matter how small.

There will be a food collection point located outside First Class in PETNS. If parents/guardians wish to make a donation they can drop them into the school office. All donations must be brought into school by Thursday December 19th. All donations will be handed over to a chosen charity (Portlaoise Action To Homelessness) after school on that day.

Here are some suggestions for donations:
Tins of beans/peas/corn etc
Cereals
Cereal bars
Canned soups
Biscuits
Tea bags
Pasta
Pasta sauces
Packets of soups/Hotcups
Confectionary
